| Lower Saxony Water Management, Coastal Defence and Nature Conservation Agency (NLWKN) |
 | The beneficiary for the project is NLWKN which became the Lower Saxony State establishment for water resources, coastal protection and nature conservation after the implementation of the ongoing administrative reform (01.01.2005). NLWKN will employ about 1000 staff and possess expert personnel experienced in managing EU projects (LIFE Nature, InterReg). NLWKN built up and operates the cooperation model in the water conservation areas. |
| Chamber of Agriculture Lower Saxony (LWK) |
| The LWK are the technical agricultural authorities in Lower Saxony. It is not only responsible for monitoring compliance with technical legislation, but also performs extensive advisory functions and is partner of several EU projects (e.g. Water4all, NoLimp). |
| State Agency for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) |
 | The LBEG is the pedological and hydrogeological authority in Lower Saxony. It possesses an extensive state-wide stock of data and the appropriate and tested analytical methods for this purpose. |
| Federal Agricultural Research Centre (FAL) |
 | The FAL is the Federal agricultural research centre. It compiles fundamental scientific information as a basis for decisions on food, agriculture and forestry policy and also consumer policy. It has accumulated great experience in the preparation of economic and environmental analysis in agriculture. |
| Research Centre Jülich (FZJ) |
 | FZJ is a multi-disciplinary research centre. Shareholders are the Federal Republic of Germany (90%) and the Federal State of North Rhine Westphalia (10%). The research group Modelling and management of catchment areas of the Agrosphere Institute (ICG-IV) is concerned with the model based balancing and forecasting of water and nutrient flows in river basins and the developing of concepts for a sustainable management of catchment areas. |

| UK Water Industry Research Ltd (UKWIR) |
 | UKWIR is the research body of the UK water industry. It facilitates and manages research for the industry. Over the last 10 years, UKWIR subscribers have contributed some £32m with a further £19m of research coming from UKWIR collaborators, resulting in over 400 reports delivered to members and disseminated widely. UKWIR conducts a number of collaborative projects with international partners and has wide experience in both project management and the dissemination of results. UKWIR is the lead UK partner and is the link to NLWKN the overall lead partner. |
| ADAS UK Ltd (ADAS) |
 | ADAS has over 50 years experience in providing timely agri-environmental consultancy and research to national government, industry, and international organisations (e.g. EEA, OECD, EC) in support of environmental policy objectives. This includes projects assisting policymakers and stakeholder organisations in the development, implementation, monitoring and assessment of agri-environment policy measures. |
| National Farmers’ Union (NFU) |
 | The NFU was founded in 1908 and represents the farmers and growers of England and Wales. It is the largest farming organisation in the UK, representing around three quarters of full time commercial farmers. With a staff of over 200 the organisation is at the forefront of the development of agricultural and environmental policy both nationally and at a European level through our Bureau de l’Agriculture Britannique (BAB). NFU has strong links with the farming press through its Communications Department. NFU magazine, read by 60,000 farmers and growers, is sent to members on a monthly basis. |
| Environment Agency (Agency) |
 | The Agency is the competent authority for the WFD in England and Wales. It has 10,000 staff and is the statutory regulator of both farming and the water industry and has very extensive experience of managing and participating in European projects including managing the UK WFD Pilot Ribble catchment. It has specialist media staff and produces a range of publications from specialist environmental reports to leaflets aimed at the public. |
| Wessex Water Services Limited (WW) |
 | WW is the regional water and sewage treatment business serving an area of the south west of England, covering 10,000 square kilometres including Dorset, Somerset, Bristol, most of Wiltshire and parts of Gloucestershire and Hampshire. The company treats and supplies drinking water to about 1.2 million people and provides sewerage services to about 2.5million. |
